In this improvisation, his cereal activity is recorded as well as the sound he produces followed by a phase of re-listening to the performance, during which the musician (“guinea pig” in this experiment) attempts to characterise and comment on the instantaneous subjective experience of the performance.

Finally, the audience is invited to discuss with the musicians and scientists the musical, cognitive, sonic and neuroscientific aspects involved in the experiment, and Nicolas Farrugia proceeds to explain the object of his research, as well as the results of these experiments. Depending on the circumstances and the audience, the musician “guinea pig” of the conference – clarinettist Christophe Rocher – performs solo or accompanied by different groups (Trio Carol, Boreal Bee).[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”chino” style=”dotted” border_width=”3″ el_width=”70″][vc_column_text]

COPRODUCTION

Ensemble Nautilis

Nicolas Farrugia, lecturer at the IMT Atlantic and researcher in neurosciences and artificial intelligence

Collaboring with: Université Mac Gill, Université de Bretagne Occidentale, IMT Atlantique, Lab-Sticc CNRS[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”chino” style=”dotted” border_width=”3″ el_width=”70″][vc_column_text]With the financial support of DRAC Bretagne, Région Bretagne, Conseil Départemental du Finistère, Ville de Brest, SACEM, Henri Selmer France and JLV Sound Paris.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” source=”external_link” external_img_size=”120×90″ custom_srcs=”#E-8_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”][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”AUTHORS” tab_id=”1717504917209-ee1178dc-acf4″][vc_column_text]
